Aviation Relocation and Move Management Services

Thales Avionics: JBA has served the wonderful team at Thales Avionics for several years. The most recent JBA program was to assist Thales Avionics in relocating from Redhill and MacArthur to The Irvine Spectrum. This move involved assisting in the layout of both their office and manufacturing operation that designs and builds top quality in-flight entertainment systems for the major airlines. JBA assisted in the block layout, detailed manufacturing design (Lean Manufacturing Practices) and in the full relocation management effort. Due to the extremely fast growth of Thales Avionics, JBA has been active on-site for the last 24 plus months in orchestrating multiple moves to support this growth.

B/E Aerospace: One of the areas top industrial brokers invited JBA to meet with B/E Aerospace to evaluate a major consolidation being considered. JBA’s team of engineers and MBAs completed a multi-facility site assessment and defined the master program for consolidation. This involved JBA’s assessment of the overall facility requirements, manufacturing space needs, special lab requirements and the overall office programming. JBA also supported B/E Aerospace in the budget assessment associated with this endeavor.

Smith Aerospace: JBA supported Smith Aerospace’s major manufacturing relocation to the Inland Empire. This Project involved development of Cellular Manufacturing layouts for Smith Aerospace is in-flight refueling systems. This required a substantial amount of communication with the Smith Aerospace engineers and manufacturing leaders. The goal was to develop modules whereby the pods that held the in-flight refueling mechanism could be built within a cell. We also had some critical fire life safety issues regarding the handling of fuel within this new facility. JBA and the Smith Aerospace team brought together the best practices of Lean Manufacturing within this new design.
