    • John Barry & Associates Move Management in Printing Industry Money Mailer: JBA is completing a turn-key project for Money Mailer. This project started with a full Facility Requirement Assessment to support the consolidation of two separate manufacturing and office facilities. Once the Facility Requirement was defined we assisted Money Mailer in selecting the ideal facility. We worked together with their team in designing the office and manufacturing operations. We coordinated the selection of the architect, contractor, movers and riggers to support the disconnection, relocation and reconnection within the new operation. This program has added great efficiency to the Money Mailer system.

    • Schawk: Schawk is a leading printer of movie posters and other promotional materials in Los Angeles. JBA’s initial project was to assess the process within this large printing and packaging organization. We defined multiple opportunities for advancement in layout, racking, workstation design and overall flow. JBA was asked to re-engineer the printing floor to accept a high volume large printing press that was manufactured in Germany. This allowed Schawk to include multiple advancements in the re-engineered operation. JBA is now reviewing the racking and packaging departments and completing additional re-engineering for Schawk.

    • Delta Printing Solutions: Delta Printing Solutions is a high volume printer that prints books, directories, catalogs, instructional guides for appliances and other items. Unfortunately, they had a fire in their press department and this damaged a large book binder beyond repair. JBA’s job was to re-engineer the plant to accept the new printer that had a new configuration and an updated footprint. The JBA team along with the Delta team had multiple brainstorming sessions utilizing a variety of CAD drawings to define the ideal layout. JBA manipulates the CAD drawing in a fashion that allows for input from all parties providing Delta with some outstanding layout solutions. JBA is currently working with Delta on additional layout and method improvements to fully maximize the printing and processing operation.

    • Turners Outdoorsman: Turner’s is a leading retail chain that specializes in hunting and camping gear. JBA assisted Turner’s Outdoorsman in the design of their 80,000 square foot Ontario distribution center. This involved Facility Requirement Definition, distribution/racking design, architect selection, general contractor selection and supervision and overall industrial engineering operational advancements.

    • Isuzu: The JBA team supported Isuzu with the re-engineering and relocation of the Isuzu's truck testing center. The job involved the full assessment of the current process and procedures and the development of a Facility Requirement Definition. This operation had a unique requirement of operational layout, the selection of the architect and contractors and the overall project management effort. JBA assisted in the Migration Plan Design, Move Management and Start Up Support. Isuzu enjoyed solid advancement in layout, solid savings in architectural and contractor expense and an overall seamless transition for their team.
